About The Work
Handcrafted locally in Huntsville, Alabama, each decoupage oyster shell is thoughtfully repurposed and cared for with the intention of preserving nature’s beauty and keeping it from our landfills.
The oyster shells used in this work are sourced from a mix of Baja California oysters from a family farm, Boston Blue Point oysters from Delaware, and select shells from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Each shell is gently polished with sand and ocean water, just as nature intended.
Every piece is handcrafted using layered materials, reclaimed elements, and natural textures. Variations in shape, edges, and surface are intentional — imperfections that tell the story of where each shell has been.
